SONEXvalueline™
SONEX™ baffles are designed to hang from ceilings in large rooms such as gymnasiums and manufacturing areas. By absorbing sound energy, they reduce noise, echoes, and reverberation.
SONEX baffles are 2' x 4' with nylon webbing straps or metal eye hooks for easy hanging. They are available in three SONEX pattern s and a variety of finishes. SONEXwet™ baffles are designed for use in high moisture environments such as pool areas or food processing plants. All SONEX baffles are FIBER-FREE and are available in willltec®, which is ASTM E84 Class 1 rated for low flammability.

Noise Reduction Coefficient
NRC is the average of the absorption coefficients at the most common frequencies (250, 500, 1000 and 2000 Hz). The NRC is often used to compare the acoustical performance of various materials.
Sound Transmission Class
STC is a measurement of how much noise is stopped by a barrier enclosure. It is an approximation of how much noise, in decibels, will be stopped by the material assuming an airtight seal around the noise source.
Sabin
Is a unit of sound absorption based on one square foot of material. Baffles are frequently described as providing X number of sabins of absorption based on the size of the baffle tested, through the standard range of frequencies 125-400 Hz.
